  • An Authentic Beer Stein Fit for a King (Ludwig)

    Posted on September 13, 2013

The first Oktoberfest, via the Warsteiner site. (

Frauleins fair in their colorful dirndls, the sounds of an oompah band, and kegs overflowing with foamy brews can only mean one thing 'tis time of year: Oktoberfest! If you live in the States, chances are an Oktoberfest will be coming to your area within the next few weeks. If you live in Germany, you are a lucky devil indeed--for you get to enjoy the largest Oktoberfest in the very place it originated--Munich.

Oktoberfest can be traced back to 1810, when Germany's Prince Ludwig (who later became King Ludwig I) married Princess Therese of Saxe-Hildburghausen. Munich's citizens were invited to celebrate the union of the royal couple. There were horse races--and no doubt dancing and drinking. The festivities were such a hit that the local folks that the tradition was repeated the following year--giving rise to Oktoberfest. Soon, local breweries and food vendors would bring their goods to the event.

It was this spirit of Oktoberfest (and frankly, a love for beer myself) that inspired my Authentic Beer Stein. This is a period-accurate beer stein that holds 30 fluid ounces of your favorite beer--making it regulation size for Oktoberfest and other beer-cheering gatherings. Best of all, it's made of pure, solid copper and hot-tinned on the inside right here in the USA at our American factory. We like to think it will turn any choice of beer into an all-American experience!

  • Made in the USA for Man's Best Friend

    Posted on September 5, 2013

Every young 'un should know the joys of owning a pet--and I had mine as a boy growing up in Richmond. Scamp was his name, and he was my pappy's hunting companion, helping to retrieve grouse and pheasant, as well as the best bud I ever had on four legs. To honor Scamp and all furry members of the man's best friend club, we here at Jacob Bromwell are proud to introduce the Eastman Dog Bowl, which is hand crafted of copper and lined with tin. The materials help keep your doggie's water cool during the dog days of summer, and the bowl does double duty as a dinner piece to hold salad or fruit (needless to say, we recommend giving it a scrubbing for this purpose after Fido's been lapping in it!)

Best of all, it's made in the USA just like all Jacob Bromwell products are and backed by a lifetime guarantee--that's our doggone promise to you.

  • Sweet New Jacob Bromwell Product: Grandma's Honey Dippers

    Posted on July 11, 2013

Whenever I see the honeybees buzzing about the clover this time of the year, thoughts turn to my grandmother. I only met Grandma Bromwell a few times as a young moppet, but she was well known throughout our county for her beekeeping skills and smooth golden clover honey that she sold to neighbors in jars straight from her kitchen window.

Now that my factory in Cincinnati is up and running strong, seeing the busy bees and thinking of my grandmother has inspired one of my newest products: Grandma's Honey Dippers. This set of two wooden honey dippers will help you drizzle just the right amount of sweetness onto toast, ice cream, and into your favorite recipes that call for honey. They're made of American wood and just like all of my products, are made here in the USA. Now how sweet is that?
