Designer Flour Sifter

YESTER-YEAR'S SIFTER FOR THE MODERN KITCHEN
Our Designer Flour Sifters are reminiscent of ones that your grandmother may have kept in her kitchen. That’s because they feature vintage designs in an old country style. They’re based on the same great All-American Flour Sifter design that Jacob Bromwell patented, with a further touch of nostalgia to please any cook. These sifters feature a single screen and produce ultra-fine, smooth flour for all your favorite recipes. Soon you'll be sifting your own flour, knowing your grandmother would be proud.

I see some people prefer this type of sifter but I do not because the flour tends to fly all over. I prefer the old Foley brand sifter. It holds 2 cups and the handle is flicked back and forth which moves an oval arm across the screen at the bottom. I have used several for 80 years. I wrote Foley Mfg. in Minneapolis to see if was still available and included a drawing of the sifter. Their reply was No and they had no plans to make it in the future. I have been able to find two used ones in thrift stores which I am saving as replacements when my current on wears out. My son is begging for one and I cannot find another. These sifters are the most efficient, quickest to sift, and of a size that fits into my flour cannister with the flour. Somebody should begin manufacturing them again.

i cant tell you how very glad i feel that i can purchase the same type of sifter that my grandmother taught me to bake with. a couple of years ago, i did a lot of scratch baking for christmas gifts and couldnt find an old fashioned sifter anywhere! you wouldnt believe the looks i got when i asked some folks that worked at stores if they even had a sifter. it was so amusing! well, i ended up improvising, but im sure you know that it wasnt the same. i am looking forward to my purchase. thanks again!

I love it my momma always had one and I cant find one that actually lasts very long. Thinking I need to get me one of these.

Anyone that goes to Walmart is basicly saying "I don't care if Americans have jobs".
I have been buying American made bread baking pans, also have some other USA Made pans. Yes, they are pricier but far superior quality.
I hope Obama taxes the companies that outsource and gives tax breaks to those that bring their products/production back into the US of A borders.
I will be buying one of these sifters for myself, plus I will be getting a left-hand version for a friend of mine for Christmas.

No way would I spend that kind of money for a designer sifter. Go to Wal-Mart and buy a regular sifter for $5.00 of less
