Our Lifetime Guarantee means you'll be passing it on for generations, along with family recipes. So create warm memories that last a lifetime by sifting flour the old-fashioned way, and soon you'll be part of the Jacob Bromwell® tradition...one of the oldest traditions in America. • Available in both 'original tin' and 'stainless steel'. As a company that prides itself on the authenticity of its products, this Heritage Collection product is available in 'original tin', which is the same material that our company used nearly two centuries ago. For those who prefer a more premium material, we are now offering this product in 'stainless steel' as well for an additional cost. As a premium material, stainless steel has a shinier finish than tin, is a bit heavier, and is rust-resistant.

  • It's easy to use. Just pour in your desired amount of wheat, acorn, almond, chestnut, maize or rough whole grain flour, turn the handle and fill your mixing bowl. You can also fill the sifter with powdered sugar for a dust on top of a cake, pie, or whatever else you're cooking.

Recently was lucky enough to get my grandmothers sifter from forever ago it still works great mine is a three cup and has a price tag of 97¢ I wonder how much it's worth now.
Product Rating :
This is a great product - exactly like one my mother had which mysteriously disappeared years ago. It makes sifting flour for a lot of bread (or anything else) much easier and much less frustrating than the old cheap kind which tend to "stick". It took a year to talk myself into buying this but it's one of the best things I've ever bought. Thanks!
Product Rating :
My mother in-law has a 1/2 cup Bromwell sifter and the screen has worn out. I'd like to buy a 1/2 cup sifter or a replacement screen (and directions to replace it.

Product Rating :
I have a sifter that was my mothers above the BROMWELLS name there is a 39 stamped in the top would that be the price? If that is the price it would have to have some age on it Thanks Ron Caruthers Cedar Hill Tennessee
Product Rating :
One great baking tip: fluff your flour to areate it before measuring. This actually replaces one of the functions of sifting, aerating the flour. But more than that, fluffing means that you'll actually use about 25% LESS flour (by weight) and this makes your cookies, cakes, muffins, etc. that much lighter. It's an amazing difference! PS Love the idea of fresh ginger in cookies, yum!

Oh I could REALLY use Morgan's Famous Grater...and the Homestead Rolling Pin. But for now I bought the All-American Flour Sifter and I'm really looking forward to my purchase!
Product Rating :
I REALLY liked this sifter. The detoripsicn was very fitting and I can't believe I found it! Thank you so much!
Product Rating :
My sister has my grandmother's. I always wanted one and luckily found one in tin at an estate sale. I snatched it up, not know that you all still made them new. But, I do love the charm the aged tin has. I use mine to make my grandmother's pumpkin cake. :)
Product Rating :
This sifter is the best. I have my mother's, bought in the fifties, and it still works perfectly. Some things can't be improved upon!
Product Rating :
I have my grandmother's sifter, a wedding present from the 1930's. I still use it all the time, and it sits in the kitchen to remind me of her love of cooking and family.
Product Rating :
I have a Bromwell sifter which is white with apples on it and also has the stamped price on it of 59 cents! It was my mother's and now it's mine. Works great!
Product Rating :
I'm replacing the sifter I have had since 1973 when I had to buy my own when I moved out of my parents house! The wood handle broke, and I have been all over the place looking for a new sifter. To April, about the manual operation, try squeezing or shaking another type sifter. By the way, my old one is a Bromwell! This one should outlive me! A great product.
Product Rating :
Always love this type of sifter
Product Rating :
The pros for this All American flour sifter are: Made to retro specifications; usage of same materials that were used by the olden day manufacturers; simplicity of design and ease of operation. The cons include: manual operation process; takes some time to get used to; physical effort involved with it. I have read reviews that the flour produced by these types of olden day implements is finer and better. I am not too sure about it but can definitely confirm that if it is used properly and for the correct duration of time, the flour quality and smoothness is as good as any. A retro kitchen appliance that is also cost effective.
Product Rating :
would love to try this sifter

I was given my grandmothers Bromwell sifter from the 1930's and I'm still using it. I recently ordered a new one and it's just as good. Hands down, you make the best sifter on the market. Thanks.

I bought one of you flour sifters for my wife in July and she loves it. I also got us a folding toaster. When I found your company doing searches for American made products for my Facebook page I remember my Grandmother had one of your sifters! I hope that your company is around for another 100 years or more! Quality never goes out of style.

I remember helping my grandmother in the kitchen, on the eastern shore of Maryland, using this exact appliance! There are actually several of your product line that I remember from her kitchen, but this was my favorite!
Product Rating :
You've hit the ball out the park! Incredible sifter!
Product Rating :
I've had my Bromwell's 5-cup crank sifter (mine's tin) for at least 35 years and it still works great. Had it been available in stainless steel back then I'd probably have opted for it but I guess it didn't matter. Please, Jacob Bromwell, stay in business forever.
Product Rating :
I bought this sifter over 55yrs. ago and it is still in good working shape. I could not believe the company was still around.

Product Rating :
I've been using this sifter for months. It's sturdy, and quickly and simply sifts.

The price was right and delivery was fast. I'm delighted with this product.

Product Rating :
The crank sifter is the best thing ever if you're like me and you cook a lot. It seems like all you ever find these days are sifters with a squeeze handle and they're hard on the hands. I bought a tin and a stainless one but like the stainless one better - seems a bit more durable.
