Collector's Copper Cup

Take a good look at your new, most cherished, American made drinking vessel! Copper is a natural insulator and keeps your drinks colder longer, which is one of the reasons our copper cup has been such a popular item of ours since James Madison was President (seriously). Today, our 100% handmade in the USA Collector's Copper Cup is an exact replica of that original, with an FDA-approved tin lining that allows you to safely enjoy any beverage, even acidic ones, just as pioneers and settlers did nearly 200 years ago. This copper cup is the ultimate way to toast America’s rich history, one satisfyingly cool sip at a time.

A Collection of Facts About Your Collector's Copper Cup:

  • A Jacob Bromwell® product is an investment for life. Copper is sky-high on the commodities market today, and there are up to five red-blooded American workers involved in the creation of this copper masterpiece. Every step in our unique manufacturing process is still done by hand. It's a passion our company is unwilling to give up. See how it's made here at our Factory Tour!
  • A Jacob Bromwell® original design. Bromwell is the original manufacturer of these quality copper cups! Other companies may imitate the original Bromwell design. None are made as well, and none have the history to back them up.
  • Both decorative and functional. Our copper cup holds roughly 28 fluid ounces and will stay in your family for generations.
  • Made of pure, solid copper and features our proprietary hot-tinned interior. Considered to be a long lost art, hot-tinning is a manufacturing process pioneered by Jacob Bromwell® nearly 200 years ago. As a highly-skilled, labor-intensive process, we take sheets of tin and apply it through a process of heating directly to the copper. Hot-tinning makes each piece unique and historically-correct to the original design, and also ensures that your product is FDA approved and 100% food and beverage safe.
  • Copper will never rust. Copper is resistant to corrosion and will never rust. If left untreated, the copper finish will naturally oxidize and age beautifully. You can polish it up to restore its shiny finish, or let it earn a beautiful patina.
  • Product care: Hand wash only. Do not place in dishwasher.
  • Dimensions and weight: 5 x 3.5 x 5.5 (inches), 1.50 (pounds).
  • Minor cosmetic imperfections may occur. Small imperfections are a natural part of the handmade process and lend charm, depth, and individuality to each piece.
  • This product is guaranteed for life. Your purchase is backed by our 100% Lifetime Guarantee, so you can buy with confidence.
  • It's proudly made in America. Still Made in the USA, even after all these years. Buy American and save jobs.

Just a clarification here about the material: copper is a conductor of heat, not an insulator. So it will actually bring your drink to room temperature quite quickly, rather than keeping "your drinks colder longer." That having been said, it may trick your brain into thinking the drink is colder because a cold drink will quickly chill the mug, giving you the sensation of drinking a colder drink. Either way, it is a fine crafted piece of art. And to what Derek said, it is possible that Thomas means that it could be the next to last mug you would ever have to own. But I would agree that the word choice is a bit awkward, given the way the sentence was constructed.

Penultimate means "second to the last" so I'm not sure what the previous reviewer means in his review.

I just ordered my cup on the 4th and it arrives tomorrow. Can't wait to use it.

A beautiful piece of hand craftsmenship that would be the penultimate vessel for those dark, malty, multi-layered complex menageries of aromas and rich, yet subtle flavours known as barley-wines.

Try Monster Ale from Brooklyn Brewery, Backburner from Southern Tier Brewery, or my personal favourite- Blithering Idiot from Weyerbacher Brewery in Easton, PA, but make sure you're where you wanna be, 'cause these are HIGH-proof ales...

Perfect for a Moscow Mule

A warm cup of prefeclty blended Irish cream and dark robust coffee. On the back porch during an autumn sunset on a crisp night, that's the prefect use for this cup.

This cup would be great with black rum and sprite with a wedge of lime (to cure scurvy of course)

A hot double Mocha, Locked, Loaded, and dressed to kill (Whole milk, nothing left out), would be great to sip outta a mug like that

I am thinking a home brewed ice cold rootbeer float would be the ticket.

What else would go best with an ice cold Yuengling Porter from America's oldest brewing company? Pouring that Porter into that beautiful copper cup from Jacob Bromwel, America’s oldest cookware company. Sounds like a match made in Heaven.

I'd find room in my drybag for this wonderful piece of copper to go with me on my backwater canoe trips.
