A Bold First: Introducing Vermonter® — Anodized
A Bold First: Introducing Vermonter® — Anodized
For more than two centuries, the Vermonter® flask has stood as one of the most recognizable pieces in the Jacob Bromwell® collection. Its silhouette is timeless, its craftsmanship unmistakable, and its purpose unchanged since the early days of American metalwork.
But every so often, even the most enduring icons deserve a new expression.
This year marks a first in our 200+ year history.
For the very first time, the Vermonter® arrives in anodized form.
What Makes Anodizing Different
Unlike painted or coated finishes that sit on top of the metal, anodizing is a process that bonds color directly into the surface itself. The result is something far more integral — a finish that becomes part of the metal rather than something applied afterward.
For the Vermonter® — Anodized, this process creates a deep emerald tone that interacts beautifully with the copper beneath it. The color shifts subtly in the light, revealing depth and variation that cannot be replicated through conventional finishing methods.
It’s bold.
It’s refined.
And no two pieces look exactly the same.
The Vermonter® You Already Know
Despite its new finish, the Vermonter® — Anodized remains true to the design collectors have admired for generations.
Each flask begins as solid copper, shaped and finished by skilled hands using techniques that have been passed down for generations. The unmistakable weight, the balanced proportions, the precise detailing — all of it remains exactly as it should be.
What has changed is simply the expression.
Think of it less as a redesign and more as a new chapter in the Vermonter® story.
Why Emerald
The emerald finish was chosen intentionally.
Not because it is trendy, but because it carries a certain timeless character — bold enough to stand apart while remaining elegant enough to carry anywhere.
With St. Patrick’s Day approaching, the color takes on an added layer of meaning. Emerald has long been associated with celebration, heritage, and good fortune — themes that feel right at home with a flask designed for life’s memorable moments.
But more than anything, the color simply looks exceptional on copper.
Made for Collectors
Like many of our most special releases, the Vermonter® — Anodized was produced in an extremely limited run.
Only 25 examples exist.
Each piece arrives as a complete collector’s set, presented in a custom green-stained box and accompanied by a matching anodized funnel. Together they form a set that feels both celebratory and enduring — something meant to be enjoyed now and appreciated for decades to come.
Once this release is gone, it will not return in this form.
Imperfectly Perfect
Every Jacob Bromwell® piece is built by hand, and the Vermonter® — Anodized is no exception.
Small variations, subtle marks, and minor irregularities are not flaws — they are the fingerprints of real craftsmanship. They are what separate an heirloom object from something mass-produced.
It’s a philosophy we’ve embraced since 1819.
And one we intend to keep for the next two centuries as well.
A New Expression of an Old Legend
The Vermonter® has always been a symbol of durability, heritage, and craftsmanship.
With the introduction of anodizing, it now carries something more:
a bold new expression of an enduring icon.
Only 25 were made.
And like many Jacob Bromwell® pieces before it, they will quietly find their way into collections around the world.
