The Standard: A Message From the CEO

“We are not in the business of producing commodities.
We are in the business of preserving standards.”
—Sean Bandawat, CEO

To Our Customers and Friends,

Jacob Bromwell® was founded in 1819.

At a time when most companies compete by reinventing themselves, we have chosen a different path: to preserve what works.

Many of our products are, by modern standards, inefficient. They are heavier. Slower. Less optimized. They do not chase convenience.

That is intentional.

We are not in the business of producing commodities. We are in the business of preserving standards.

Every piece we craft exists for a reason. Not to improve upon history — but to carry it forward. Not to compete with mass production — but to resist it.

Our products are tangible expressions of belief:

  • That authenticity matters.
  • That material integrity matters.
  • That ownership should feel permanent.
  • That not everything worth keeping needs to be updated.

That means we do not redesign for novelty, we do not simplify for speed, and we do not dilute what defines us. Jacob Bromwell® is not about innovation for its own sake. It is about continuity.

If you own one of our pieces, you are not simply purchasing a product. You are participating in the preservation of a standard — one that has endured for more than two centuries.

That responsibility is something we take seriously.

Thank you for being part of it,

— Sean Bandawat
