We can say with certainty, that no other watch in existence has this much character. Scroll down to see the meticulous details that go into each watch. Each piece is made-to-order by our watchmaker in Alberta, Canada.
The Dial
The centerfold for any timepiece, it all comes down to the dial. Our dial is one to be desired: clean with a visually appealing aesthetic.
Naturally, we start with a Jacob Bromwell® copper flask. Our watchmaker saws the bottom off of the flask, skillfully measures and then drills & cuts a perfect circle to create a beautiful, clean dial that will develop a patina over the years.
If you're familiar with our flasks, you know what type of solid construction goes into each one. The dial is proof of this commitment to quality. Each dial is around 1.75mm thick of pure copper, roughly the thickness of a coin.
The Movement
A watch is only as good as its movement. For The Hands of Time™, we opted for supreme accuracy and custom hand-engraving on the bridges to set it apart from all others.
A Swiss-made ETA 6498-1 is the heartbeat powering the timekeeping. Each movement is completely disassembled, engraved by hand, reassembled and then tested for complete accuracy before shipping out. Each timepiece is backed by a 2 year warranty to ensure a pleasurable, everyday driver.
When we set our watches it’s +/- 5 seconds per day. We set that on a timegrapher during final assembly. The idea (in a perfect world) is that when a watch wind is full it’ll run +3-5 seconds per day and as the wind starts to run out it runs -3-5 seconds bringing it to a perfect time.
The Build
Once the movement is assembled and tested for near-perfect accuracy, it's time for it to be cased. We use a 316L solid stainless steel case with polished areas in-between the lugs and a brushed finish on the sides and bezel, for maximum durability.
Speaking of the bezel, that's how you're going to tell time on this masterpiece. We engrave hour indices around the bezel for subtle, but accurate time-telling. It's what separates the big boys from the kiddos.
For the crystal, we went all out. Only the best with a sapphire crystal on the front, and a matching sapphire crystal on the back for a transparent display so you can take a gander at your beautiful movement anytime you so desire.
Once cased, polished and inspected one last time - your new timepiece is ready to make its inaugural journey to your home. Each watch is made-to-order with jewelry-level precision and takes roughly 4-6 weeks for delivery. Order yours today.
