FAQ & Help Center

The following reflects the standards behind every Jacob Bromwell® piece. For matters beyond this, our concierge team remains available.

These are not mass-produced goods. Each piece is built with intention — made to be used, and made to last a lifetime.

The Product

What makes Jacob Bromwell® different?

Jacob Bromwell® is not a mass-market brand. We produce heirloom metal goods using traditional methods, in limited quantities, with a focus on permanence over convenience. These are not disposable products. They are built to be used, lived with, and passed down.

Are your products limited in production?

Many Jacob Bromwell® pieces are produced in small batches or limited runs. Once a release is completed, it may not return.

Will sold-out products come back?

Not always. Certain pieces are produced once and never repeated.

Where are Jacob Bromwell® products made?

Jacob Bromwell® products are produced both in the United States and at select partner facilities abroad. Every piece is built to our specifications using time-tested methods and uncompromising materials.

Are all Jacob Bromwell® products held to the same standard?

Yes. Every Jacob Bromwell® piece—regardless of where it is produced—is held to the same standard of materials, construction, and finish.

Why do Jacob Bromwell® products command a higher price?

Because they are built differently. Our products prioritize durability, weight, and craftsmanship over speed or cost. They are designed to last—not to be replaced.

Are your products meant to be used regularly?

Yes. While each piece is built to heirloom standards, it is made to be used and enjoyed — often daily. Over time, your piece will develop a natural patina that reflects its use, making it uniquely yours.

Are your products safe to use?

Yes. All Jacob Bromwell® products are constructed using food-safe materials and finishes appropriate to their intended use.

Are your flasks lined?

Yes. Each flask is lined with a food-safe interior to ensure a clean and stable drinking experience.

Why are some products tinned and others are not?

Different products require different finishes based on how they are used. Each material and method is chosen intentionally.

Why does Model One include both a wood and cork stopper?

Each serves a different purpose. The cork provides a traditional seal, while the wood stopper offers a distinct aesthetic and feel.

What does “Michigan City” mean on certain products?

It is a historical reference tied to the brand’s legacy and past manufacturing roots.

Can my product be modified or customized after purchase?

No. Each piece is designed as a complete object and is not intended for post-production modification.

How secure is the seal on my flask?

A properly sealed flask should not leak. Natural materials such as cork may require occasional replacement over time.

Do you offer engraving?

Yes. Select flasks can be engraved using our in-house process, designed to complement the form of each piece.

Are custom or bulk orders available?

Yes. We accommodate select bulk and custom requests depending on scope and availability.

Are there variations in copper color or finish?

Yes. Each piece may vary slightly due to the nature of the material and the finishing process.

Do sold-out products ever return?

Availability depends on production schedules. Some items may not return once sold out.

Proper care preserves both function and finish. Over time, each piece will reflect how it has been used — developing a character unique to its owner.

Product Care

What is the best way to clean my copper flask?

Rinse with warm water and mild soap. Avoid abrasive materials or harsh chemicals. Dry thoroughly after each use to preserve the finish.

My copper is changing color. Can I restore it?

Yes. Copper naturally develops a patina over time. This can be polished away using a proper copper cleaner, restoring its original finish if desired.

Are your kitchen products dishwasher safe?

No. We recommend hand washing only to preserve both structure and finish. These pieces are built to last—but not designed for modern dishwashing systems.

I noticed small particles when rinsing my flask. Is this normal?

Yes. During initial use, trace particles from the finishing process may be present. A thorough rinse before first use will remove any remaining residue.

My flask has a slight oil or fuel smell. Is this normal?

Yes. This can occur as a result of protective treatments applied during production and transit. The scent will dissipate after rinsing and airing the product.

My product is rusting. Should I be concerned?

Surface discoloration can occur depending on environment and use. This does not affect performance. With proper care, your product will continue to function as intended.

Each order is prepared and dispatched with care. Because many pieces are produced in limited batches, timelines may vary based on availability and destination.
