Sustainability & Stewardship

At Jacob Bromwell®, we do not chase trends. We build objects meant to outlast them.

True sustainability is not about slogans or seasonal collections. It is about permanence — about crafting goods so enduring they never need replacing. For over 200 years, our philosophy has remained simple: Make it once. Make it right. Let it live for generations.

Copper craftsmanship

Copper — Our Foundation

More than 80% of what we produce is solid copper. Copper is one of the most sustainable metals on earth:

• Infinitely recyclable without loss of integrity
• Actively recovered and reused worldwide
• Naturally long-lasting and repairable
• Capable of developing a living patina rather than degrading

Nearly 80% of all copper ever mined is still in use today. When properly cared for, a copper vessel does not wear out — it evolves. We design our copper goods to live far beyond a single lifetime.

Stainless Steel — Strength Without Compromise

Where appropriate, we utilize premium stainless steel for structural components and modern performance needs. Stainless steel is:

• 100% recyclable
• Commonly produced with high recycled content
• Exceptionally durable and corrosion-resistant
• Designed for decades of continuous use

Its strength ensures fewer replacements, fewer failures, and less waste over time.

Pewter craftsmanship

Pewter — Heritage Alloy

Our pewter pieces honor centuries-old craftsmanship.

Modern pewter is lead-free, recyclable, and designed to last for generations. Like copper, it can be remelted and recast without loss of character — reinforcing our commitment to circular materials.

Longevity Is Luxury

Built to Last

We do not design disposable goods. We do not engineer planned obsolescence. We do not participate in seasonal throwaway culture. Every Jacob Bromwell® piece is intended to be:

• Repaired rather than replaced
• Passed down rather than discarded
• Worn in, not worn out

A product that lasts 50 years is inherently more sustainable than one replaced every five. This is our approach.

Responsible Craftsmanship

We maintain disciplined production runs to avoid over-manufacturing. Rather than chasing volume, we produce in controlled quantities and focus on objects that are meant to be kept, used, and handed down.

Many of our pieces are made in small batches, allowing us to maintain close oversight of materials, construction, and finishing.

Quality—not scale—guides our decisions.

A Living Legacy

Sustainability is not a marketing campaign. It is the quiet decision to build things worthy of inheritance.

When you purchase from Jacob Bromwell®, you are not acquiring a product. You are acquiring an object designed to remain in circulation long after trends have faded.

That is our definition of stewardship.
